Cusco, Peru

A trip of a lifetime.....

My wife and I decided to take this trip as our gift for our 25th anniversary, and it was so worth it!

Being able to visit one of the World Wonders is simply an experience that changes you.... it  is humbling, it shows you how small you truly are in the grand scheme of things.

Cusco is one of the most beautiful locations to stop by if you are interested in visiting ruins and learning about ancient cultures. The people are nice and friendly, the food is good, there are bars and pubs everywhere being that this is the Tourism Capital of The Americas....

You might need one day to acclimate to the altitude of the City, and then from there you'll embark on a train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, which is at the base of the mountain where Machu Picchu is located. A bus will take you then to the top, and will drop you off at the entrance to the ruins.

Once you go in, you will not want to leave.... you can literally walk for hours in the beautiful maze of rock walls, rooms, stairs and small buildings.... after all, this is a citadel. We were ecstatic during our whole tour of the ruins. My wife and I enjoyed the views and took a lot of pictures to remember this fantastic moment.

We ended up visiting many locations around Cusco, and all of them were simply outstanding, but Macchu Picchu stole the show, as it was expected... This is one location everybody should have in their bucket-list.
